The National Landlords Association was founded as the Small
Landlords Association in 1973 and has members drawn from every postcode
area in England and Wales, and some in Scotland and Northern Ireland. It
exists to protect and promote the interests of private landlords of
residential property. It represents the views of private landlords to
government, local authorities and the media and seeks a fair and
equitable legislative and regulatory environment for the private-rented
sector. It aims to ensure that landlords are aware of their statutory
rights and responsibilities and to foster a fair and friendly
relationship between landlord and tenant.
